Setting the record straight on Rip Off Report
When you do a search for our company there will be a lovely link to the Rip Off Report, or the half dozen that have appeared.
This is the mischievous nature of one individual who wanted to cause problems for us, and apart from taking the time to write this blog entry he hasn't succeeded.
Nathan Turnquist of Wisconsin was a customer of ours when we still based in the UK. He was very successful with his bull and a great advocate of our products (even standing on the booth at IAAPA 2008 in Orlando). Nathan moved down to Florida to start a rental company using Galaxy Multi Rides.
When Nathan saw how well we were doing, he did his research about China made mechanical bulls and thought he would sell them himself.
What Nathan failed to do was to take our warnings that these are cheap below standard machines that will break down. We have learnt this from dozens of calls from people thinking they had bought a Galaxy but in fact were buying a cheap Chinese copy.
In his naivety Nathan thought that we were the only threat to him making hundreds of thousands of dollars selling Chinese mechanical Bulls, and although we are the largest manufacturer of mechanical rodeo multi rides, there are others.
So Nathan went out of his way to try and ruin our reputation by making posts on Rip Off Report on how our equipment is made in China, and that we do not honor and warranties etc etc
All of which is totally untrue, false and fabricated.
Look at the usernames he decided to use
1. His real name - Nathan T
2. Telling Robin (the owner) to F**k You with the user name furobin
3. Poking fun at me with - mike is upset
4. Finally believing that he is will outsell everyone with - my time now
As a company and as individuals we were not aware of Rip Off Report but having done our research we learn that it would take over $5000 to have Rip Off Report admit that this is false, even then they will not delete the post!
So when you are searching to buy a mechanical rodeo bull, or are doing your research on us as a company - make sure you get all the facts.
Call us and I will be able to put you in touch with 20 people straight away, then another 20 if you need them. As many people as you want to speak to!
Thanks for taking the time to read!

Make sure it's a Galaxy Mechanical Bull
On a daily basis we get a least one / two phone calls from people all over the world that believe they have bought a Galaxy Mechanical Bull.
Some of these calls are genuine and the caller is shocked when we tell them that the machine they have bought is over 10 years old.
Unfortunately not all of the phone calls end like this, more often than not we get phone calls where the customer has been sold a mechanical rodeo bull as a Galaxy, when the reality is that its a poor copy from China or Poland.
If you have any doubts about where your mechanical rodeo bull is from then please feel free to give us a call. I say this because we received and interesting piece this week.
A customer called up complaining about his second hand Galaxy machine, that the electronics were junk and the gear box was falling apart. In our rush to help this guy we sent out a new gear box and motor and tried to help him with the reinstall. Once this wasn't working he decided to send the machine for us to repair. This is what arrived...
This is a slightly dismantled China mechanical bull, which has been having major problems with its motors and gearboxes. It looks similar to ours so much so that here is a photo of what our machine looks like and what the Chinese piece of junk looks like
As you can see the basic design and function has been ripped off, just not very well. But there are clear differences, so if you are ever unsure please give us a call. You can do some checks yourself.
What is the colour of the machine?
Does it have a serial number?
Where have you purchased the machine? Do your due diligence.
Which leads us onto the electronics, here is a image of a Galaxy mechanical rodeo bull deluxe console and a Chinese console. Please look out for the differences in the photo below. Make sure you are buying a galaxy mechanical bull by looking at the below image and checking these details.
Is the Galaxy logo on the console facia?
The joystick should be black
Check the power out / inlets
Does it have a Galaxy ID plate?
Remember, when you want to buy a mechanical rodeo bull make sure you do your research of where your machine is manufactured and by whom.
We have been making the best mechanical bull for over 21 years now and continue to do so.

How to Rent a Mechanical Bull
Renting a mechanical bull is a great way to make your event or party become a big hit with your guests! There are companies on the internet that off mechanical bulls so how do you decide? What questions should you ask? These are the main things to look out for when renting a mechanical bull.
- Finding the bull
Have look at the usual resources, searching the internet is probably the best start, but there is also telephone directories. Another way that you should consider is by speaking to the manufacturer and see if they will be able to find someone in your area. Galaxy bulls have sold over 3500 machines worldwide so they should be able to find someone for your event.
You can fill out a rental form here
Try be as local as you can
- Is the Bull safe?
This is an important question you should ask your operator. Who is the bull made by? The safest mechanical bull on the market today is the galaxy bull from the rodeo bull company. The safety features that come as standard are unrivaled and favored by the leading insurance companies, which leads us onto...
- Is the operator insured?
You should never rent a bull that isn't covered by insurance, the cost is not as high as it was 5 years ago so there is no excuse for no insurance. The main reason that a company may send out an uninsured bull is that they own a machine that the Insurance companies do not like. With all mechanical bulls from Galaxy America comes a waiver that details that while riding a bull is a fun and very safe activity, there is a risk as within anything in life. This is there to protect you and your operator
- Mechanical Bull Operator
It is very rare, but I have heard about it - just make sure that your rental includes an experienced operator. Like i said it is very rare but happens
- Is it legal???
Some states require strict testing of certain entertainment and mechanical rides, mechanical bulls fall into this category.
Mechanical Rodeo bulls from Galaxy America are the only bulls that are certified for all 50 states in the USA. No other company in the world can claim that. Other countries are more lenient but The Rodeo Bull Co bulls are certified in all the major markets covering the UK, Europe, South America, Asia and Australia. If you have any doubts speak to your operator.
- What to look for in an operator
Just because equipment is old does not mean it is unsafe, so here is a few things to look out for when finding an operator.
Are they professional? How do they answer the phone? Is there equipment clean? These may seem like obvious questions but lots of people to not ask them!
If you have any questions just post them below and I will get back to you or contact me at www.therodeobullcompany.com
How much does it cost to rent a mechanical Bull?
How much does it cost to rent a mechanical Bull?
This is a question I get asked a lot! It's a question that leads to other questions.
It really depends on where you are in the world, the more competition in your area the lower the price is going to be.
When it comes to our mechanical bulls we advise our customers to charge (in the USA) anywhere from $300 per hour of operation with usually a minimum of 2 hours, the average event is 4/5 hours long.
Remember that the Galaxy Bull is the most advanced mechanical bull in the world in terms of safety, technology and innovation.
But remember it is more than just Bull, we offer over 34 different attachments that can be changed for the bull, so if you are having a beach party then why not try the surf board? Or if you are a bar owner... what could be better than a giant rodeo beer bottle!?
