This month... So we are drawing towards the end of 2010 and what a year it has been. November is always busy for us with IAAPA and all the fun and stress that brings
Because we are celebrating 20 years of manufacturing we decided to take a large space and fill it with great rides! We took a Regular Bull with soft foam safety head, a Ride Off and we launched two new games - Whirling Wizards and Xtreme Board Combo. Both proved to be an instant hit but it was Xtreme Board Combo which came out on top. You can read ore about both games by clicking the link on the right side I hope he doesn't mind me saying this but he looked a worried man as we talked on the booth. He had pulled the finance together to get the bull he knew would grow his business and take him into new markets. But he had to reassured from myself that he was going to make his money back. Virgil walked onto the booth in Orlando with a huge smile on his face saying it was the best decision he ever made, he had made his initial investment back in 3 months and was ready to buy a second bull! Virgil's story isn't abnormal and the majority of my customers pay off there machine within 4 to 6 months. A mechanical bull is an incredible revenue generator and a lot of fun to work with. Promotional Rides
In the last 20 years we have made some interesting rides, and have been asked to all sorts of crazy items. We have just finished our Whirling Wizards broomstick ride and we are straight into the rodeo mechanical grizzly bear! Innovation is something of a speciality for us.
Over the years our mechanical multi ride system has been used to promote and launch so many products all over the world, the latest being a giant slice of lime for Jose Curevo!
So we thought what better that to blog about some of our favourite promotional attachments that we have made for out mechanical bull system.
Jose Cuervo Mechanical Lime
This is the first and only mechanical rodeo lime in the world, made for Jose Cuervo by Galaxy America for their CuervoGames promotion. Teams of 4 compete in challenges, set all over the United States for the chance to compete in the final in Las Vegas.
The winners will win a trip of a lifetime to Mexico and their own batch of personalized Jose Cuervo Tequila!

Tecate Light Mechanical Beer Can
Tecate sponsored the PBR and wanted a custom Tecate Light can made so they could take it to every single PBR event for fans to ride. The result was fantastic, a mechanical bull that is a giant 5ft beer can!!!
Drench Mechanical Pheasant
Drench is drinks company in the UK that are famous for there unique advertising strategy. Iconic television advertisements have caught the attention of the general public.
With the launch of a new product we were approached to make a mechanical rodeo..... Pheasant!!! And from it came this great advert
Bennetts Bucking Bike
Bennetts are the largest insurer of motorcycles in the UK and sponsor the British Super Bike championship. This is the custom mechanical rodeo superbike that Bennetts take on all the UK meetings. Fans get the chance to ride the bike for prizes.
Taco Bell Rodeo Hot Sauce Packet
Taco Bell has been a long term sponsor of the X Games and Winter X Game. To grab the attention of the fans we created a rodeo packet of there famous hot sauce! Riders won either a Taco 'Bell' or a foam taco hat to wear whilst watching the atheletes compete in Aspen!
Taco Bell Volcano Taco Skateboard Ride
For the summer X Games in Los Angeles we created a one of a kind dual mechanical skate board ride. The concept was that the two riders competed to ride against each other down a volcano to promote Taco Bells Volcano Tacos!

World Cup Fever!!! Mechanical Rodeo Football
The greatest sporting event in the world is nearly upon us (yes even more so than the Olympics)!
With the FIFA World Cup going on in South Africa the world is going to be going football (soccer) mad, so we thought we would design a game to capitalise on that market.

Knowing that we are renowned for our innovation and versatility I am proud to tell you that this isn't just a football pitch.
With different events in mind we designed the top cover sheet to be removable to use wither as a green bed or as another sport e.g. American Football, Rugby etc etc
Along with the interchangeable pitch, we made the pop up goal posts removable as well. So you can chance them out for different style goals.

Worlds First Kosher Mechanical Bull
It has been a long time since I got time to write the blog, but rest assured there will be a few entries coming soon.
This week has been an interesting week with some great new products leaving the factory down here in Port Charlotte.
We got asked if we could make a ride for Hebrew National Hot Dogs, no problem we thought, expecting that they would want a giant mechanical hotdog! But no, Hebrew National wanted to promote the kosher difference, giving a visual representation of where the hot dogs come from.
So using the graphic off the Hewbrew National website we created a custom Hebrew National mechanical 'cow' just for them.
What do you think? All of us here at galaxy bulls are really happy with the final result.

End of hectic week...
So, I know its only Thursday but this is going to be the end of a really hectic period for everyone here.
As well as the usual order for mechanical bulls to get out, we have had two custom projects on at the same time.
The first one was for Tecate Light, they are sponsoring the PBR tour and wanted to showcase there beer. Can you think of a better way to do that than a 4 foot replica rodeo beer can, just like a mechanical bull! If you are going to see and of the remaining PBR events, make sure you go jump on and have a ride.
The other job is a new direction for the company. We have been asked to design a magic carpet ride that will utilise the multi ride system that we created way back in 1990. The brief was to create a magic flying carpet that can seat 4 people, with a custom program to control the ride. This magical carpet is set against a green screen, you ride the carpet seeing yourself on a television flying over a city scene. You can then buy the DVD to take home! This is being developed by an English company based in Blackpool and could be replicated the world over. Im sure it will be. Imagine flying a magic carpet around the sites and sounds of Las Vegas!
I will have some photos in the next week or so of the ride, im sure it is going to look impressive in its new home in Blackpool!
With us having to change a few details for the Magic Carpet it pushed forward our development of the Touchscreen Control Console.
You cannot walk down a street without seeing some kind of touch screen, so we began to develop our own version, as always innovating the leisure industry. What the new console enables us to do is have up to 30 different program rides in there, varying in speed, so you could have a slow steady control for Angus McRodeo our mechanical bull for kids, or a faster ride for the rodeo bull or mechanical surf machine. As well as that, you can record the best time of an event at that particular venue! So for regular events you can see who the longest rider is at the end of the month!
Apart from that I am heading back to the UK factory tomorrow to sign off on the magic carpet and check on production before I fly out to Colorado for some snowboarding.
